A three-week timeframe was initially suggested for the hearing into claims the West Ham midfielder was intentionally booked during four Premier League matches between November 2022 and August 2023. However, reports that the quantity of evidence under review has forced a delay and the panel are now "stuck in a hiatus".

The report adds that the 27-year-old will have to wait over a month for more news on his case. The initial investigation into possible betting breaches began in August 2023 and the charges were announced the following May. The case is said to have had been "mentally taxing" for Paqueta.
