Tottenham have fought back to form following consecutive victories over Brighton and Huddersfield, providing a vital boost ahead of their Champions League showdown with Barcelona.
The results follow a sequence of three games without a win in all competitions, which included a defeat in the opening fixture of Spurs’ European campaign against Inter Milan, a result that raised questions about Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

He elected not to sign a single player during the summer transfer window but is unlikely to adopt a similar strategy in January, with Pochettino looking set to prioritise the addition of a midfielder ahead of Mousa Dembele’s expected departure at the end of the season.
One player linked with a move to North London is Lazio’s highly-rated Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with it stated that Spurs have scouted the 23-year-old extensively this season.
While he would prove to be extremely expensive, the 6ft 4in ace is the sort of addition that would see Spurs send a statement of intent to the rest of the Premier League that makes it clear they are not financially crippled by their imminent stadium switch.
Do you agree Spurs fans? Should Pochettino make Milinkovic-Savic his priority? Let us know your thoughts in our poll below…
