Celtic look to desperately need a new centre-back before the summer transfer window slams shut, and Bhoys fans on Twitter are divided over a potential move to re-sign Manchester City’s Jason Denayer, who could cost €10m (£8.9m) according to Turkish media outlet Sporx.
The Belgium international is reported to have been told that he can leave the Etihad Stadium by Pep Guardiola having failed to make a single first-team appearance for the club since signing a professional contract in 2014, instead spending two spells on loan at Galatasaray – including last term – as well as further spells at Sunderland and the Scottish Premiership holders, who must sign an unhappy 19-year-old attacker who was once likened to Lionel Messi.
The 23-year-old certainly made a big impression alongside Virgil van Dijk in the 2014/15 campaign, making 44 appearances in all competitions and chipping in with six goals.

Celtic supporters have been quick to have their say on potentially bringing Denayer back to Glasgow via social media, but while one said “I would have Denayer back in a heartbeat”, another disagreed and labelled him as “pretty much average”.
